About Wrench Box
A Central Florida appliance repair company built on a simple idea: diagnose it properly, explain it honestly, and only sell the repair if the repair actually makes sense.

A Local Company,
Not a Call Center
Wrench Box is a Central Florida appliance repair company serving homeowners and property managers from The Villages across to the Volusia coast.
When you call us, you reach us. When a technician arrives, it is one of our own, not a subcontractor a national brand dispatched from a list. That distinction matters more than it sounds, because it is what makes it possible for a customer to leave a review asking for a specific technician by name and actually get them next time.
Our customers write about the same things over and over: that we turned up when we said we would, that we explained what was wrong, and that we told them the truth about whether fixing it was worth the money. That is the whole business, really.
- Licensed and insured
- EPA Section 608 certified for refrigerant work
- Over 100 five-star reviews on Google
- Every major appliance brand serviced
Sealed-system work in a customer's kitchen. Drop cloths down, gauges on, done properly.
Four Things We Will Not Compromise On
Diagnose Before Quoting
We test rather than guess. Meters, error codes, component checks, whatever the fault requires. You are shown what failed before any price is mentioned, and no part gets ordered on a hunch.
Explain It in Plain English
You should understand what went wrong and why, without needing a background in appliance repair. If we cannot explain it clearly, we do not understand it well enough ourselves yet.
Respect Your Time
An arrival window, and we keep to it. If something changes, you hear it from us first, not by working it out after an afternoon spent waiting.
Say When Not to Repair
If the repair costs close to a replacement, we tell you, in writing, with the reasoning. We would rather lose the job than take money for a repair that does not make sense.
Why EPA Certification
Keeps Coming Up
It is not a badge for the website. It is the difference between repairing your refrigerator and telling you to buy a new one.
Federal law requires EPA Section 608 certification to handle refrigerant. Without it, a technician legally cannot open a sealed system to trace a leak, replace a compressor or recharge a unit. Plenty of appliance companies do not hold it.
The practical consequence is that when a refrigerator has a genuine refrigeration fault rather than a simple part failure, an uncertified company has two options: refer it out, or tell you the appliance is finished. We have a third option, which is to actually fix it.

He was on time, professional and kind. He was also knowledgeable, methodical and patient… He explained his diagnostics, what he was doing, and why; what he couldn’t do, and why. He was confident in his skill and abilities and conveyed trust and confidence… I strongly recommend calling Wrench Box for any appliance repair.
William Cook was friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond his job. I would recommend William and your company to everyone. Thanks for the exceptional service.
First time customer. The tech, Hoover Menezes was prompt, knowledgeable and very quickly diagnosed the problem. Ordered parts on the spot and said he’d be back in 2 hours to install them. Came back did the repair as promised!! Highly recommend. Very professional.
About Our Company
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, fully licensed and insured. We are also EPA certified, which is a separate federal certification required to handle refrigerant, and it is the reason we can carry out sealed-system refrigerator repairs that many appliance companies have to decline.
Who actually comes to my house?
One of our own certified technicians. We are a Central Florida company, not a franchise that subcontracts calls out to whoever is nearest. Our customers regularly ask for specific technicians by name in their reviews, which tells you something about how we operate.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Our labor is warrantied, and parts carry their manufacturer warranty. We confirm the exact terms with you at the point we give you the estimate, so there is nothing to discover afterwards.
What if you decide my appliance is not worth repairing?
You get a full written diagnosis explaining what failed, why repairing it does not make financial sense, and what to look for in a replacement. Several of our best reviews come from exactly that visit. We would rather lose a job than sell a repair we would not pay for ourselves.
How do I know the price is fair?
You see the fault and the price before any work happens, and you are free to say no. The diagnostic fee is waived when you approve the repair. Nothing gets done, and nothing gets charged, without you agreeing to it first.
